All Sufficient Grace

Life…Life is interesting. Just try pausing for a minute and travel back. I find it so amazing how fast and far back I can go in just a couple of seconds. Although I have just lived for about 16 years, I find myself thinking like, “Wow…I could have never arrived here alone” When I reflect back, I understand what it was that kept me together all the way- God’s amazing grace.

Life is reality. That’s the reason why life is not always sunshine and rainbows and instead bleak and painful sometimes. Disappointments, losses, failures, unseen tears, broken hearts.. to have be going through something you would rather not go through.. A young person’s lookout on life can become depressing sometimes. But if you have an everlasting relationship with Jesus Christ, you will find that His grace is sufficient for you each day, every sorrow, and every heartache. May this cherished song help turn and keep your eyes on Jesus:

“Grace”

Carolyn Hamlin

Lord, as I seek Your guidance for the day,
I find my thoughts unyielding,
confusion crowds my way.

But then when I bow to You,
the challenges You guide me through,
Your promises are ever new,
I claim them for today.

Each new day’s design is charted by Your hand
and graciously revealed as I seek Your master plan.

Keep my footsteps faithful.  When from You I go,
return me to the joy that Your blessings can bestow.

Your will cannot lead me where Your grace will not keep me.
Your hand will protect me, I rest in Your care.
Your eyes will watch over me, Your love will forgive me,
And when I am faltering, I still will find You there.

To Get A New Page

After many unsuccessful attempts on adding a new page here, my intelligent sister finally accomplished to get wordpress to work for me again. Under Paper works, you can find a essay on how Brutus best demonstrates the tragic hero in Julius Caesar.

WordPress bloggers, the problem I got into was that although I correctly added my sub-page (Julius Caesar) to my parent page (Paper works), it would not show up in My Blog. After trying to fix it for three days from different computers (and from different rooms, and sitting in different positions, and wearing different clothes or whatever), my sister finally got time to sit down and help me…

Did You Ever Talk To God Above?

“DID YOU EVER TALK TO GOD ABOVE?”

(Frances Towle Rath)

“Did you ever talk to God above

Tell Him that you need a friend to love.

Pray in Jesus’ name believing

That God answers prayers.

“Have you told him all your cares and woes?

Every tiny little fear he knows.

You can know He’ll always hear

And He will answer prayer.

“You can whisper in a crowd to Him

You can cry when you’re alone to Him

You don’t have to pray out loud to Him;

He knows your thoughts.

“On a lofty mountain peak, He’s there,

In a meadow by a stream, He’s there.

Anywhere on earth you go,

He’s been there from the start.

“Find the answers in His Word, it’s true.

You’ll be strong because He walks with you.

By His faithfulness He’ll change you too,

God answers prayer.”

I used to love this song when I was little. Because whenever I sang this song, I remembered that Jesus was with me, and that Jesus was always going to be with me. “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

“Talking to God”. In any relationship, communication is necessary. The more the communication, the more the association. And the more the association, the more the communication. I can get really bothered when I can’t talk to someone I want to. But with God, the connection is always open. No networks busy, never logged out and never any “please try again later”s. God is never too busy to fellowship with us, instead WE are the ones too busy to talk to Him.

Seek ye my face.” (Psalm 27:8). This verse reminds us how God wants to fellowship so much with each of His children. “Seek ye my face”. And our proper answer to this invitation from a mighty God should be, “Thy face, Lord, will I seek”. This affirmative reply appears quite easy – until other invitations start arriving. Then we have to chose what to accept, what to block, what to put first, and what to put second.

Even though if you have a relationship with Jesus, you cannot be really happy if you have no fellowship with Him. When I traded Jesus’ worthy place of closeness in my heart for something else, I had no idea that He cared so much. But now I can look back and see how God longed to have that perfect unceasing fellowship with me and has won me back. Besides His Word, this little song also helped me to realise that even though I had been unfaithful to Him, He was still with me and that I could get right with Him immediatley.

Faithful Jesus! Thou hast been good to me all the way!  When I’ve been wayward and gone my own way, You have come after me, though I’ve loosed my hold on You, You have never lost Your hold on me, and Your promises have never failed!

And once again I have remembered my everlasting Friend and His love towards me.

“Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee” ( Jeremiah 31:32).

Backtrack

Been sick for this week, so much that I didn’t care about blogs and stuff. When your’e really sick, many stuff that mattered grow dim and other shadowed things grow important. This viral fever is the worst sickness that happened to me this year, and I’m glad it was nothing worse. I also learned many thing about treating fevers and throat ulcers properly during the long days from the internet, and experience.

Throat ulcer is not tonsillitis. It is a throat full of blisters and stuff. When one gets these, its extremely painful (and sometimes impossible) to swallow and to speak.  One important thing http://www.paininmythroat.com/throat-ulcer/ suggests is mouthwash, which the doctor surprisingly did not prescribe me, so my family used salt water instead. The doctor also kept me in suffering and starving by not prescribing me the best of numbing drugs so my pain kept me from eating. My intelligent sister insisted Flexon tablets, which sure has made me a lot better without the following side affects which occur on overdose and stuff:

  1. Chest pain
  2. chills
  3. cough
  4. fever
  5. hallucinations
  6. headache
  7. shortness of breath, troubled breathing
  8. skin rash, hives, itching, or redness
  9. sores, ulcers, or white spots on lips or in mouth
  10. swollen and/or painful glands
  11. unusual bruising or bleeding
  12. unusual tiredness or weaknesses
  13. Blurred vision
  14. constipation
  15. difficult urination
  16. drowsiness
  17. dry eyes, mouth, nose, or throat
  18. eye pain
  19. flushing or redness of face

I also learned that drinking lots of lukewarm water with a spoonful of honey and a little bit of lemon juice really relieved the hurt. I am a lot better today than yesterday, but still feeling tired, maybe I need to sleep. It’s already 10:04 pm, I see.

Good Night, world.

Pouring water on Macbook keyboard – not a good idea

Pouring water on mac keyboard – not smart. First of all, having water around it is unwise. Very, very unwise.

I used to make grave mistakes every day by bringing glasses of water to everyone in the family every once in a while. No matter how hot it was and how much we were dehydrating, it was not for me to let everyone sip cool water in the bedrooms – especially Baba and sister who are always behind their laptop screens…

Well, it had to happen one day. June 23,2014. This is what I wrote in my diary that night – nearly verbatim:

Around 4, I decided to do cello class in our room. I was so hot and cross… Put CD in, and wait with bow and max heavy cello… Macbook drive doesn’t respond. Then my hand flipped a glass of water and out poured a stream of  cool water over keyboard. I grabbed the laptop, flipped it over a pillow and hit it. Then I turned it back over, typed to make sure it worked, and put it back, deciding I had been smart to get the liquid out so quickly. (and this was my sister’s laptop)

After the lesson in DVD player, sister came and worked on Mac. She says, “Why, the M key is sticking!”… Then “Why, the U key too!”…

I knew I had done the worst thing I had ever done from the day of my birth. Sister shut down the thing and then we couldn’t get in again cause we couldn’t type the password. Since sister had a coaching call that night, she used baba’s laptop and Baba and I stayed till 10 pm, typing the password over and over again, trying to get in. Finally after  getting in we checked how many keys were sticking. There were 6: M, J, U, W, “, and ;. Besides that, we learned how to pry keyboard keys out correctly from Youtube and with Baba’s penknife, took out the six keys.  Finally, we shut the thing down and left the screen open, hoping the insides would dry out until morning.

Wether it dried or not, the keys still acted weird and frenzied next morning. When we pressed M, it would respond with like nKjlbhfgNNmm,….

I had caused the whole problem. What had I done?!?!

The keyboard, trackpad, and the whole upper case had to be replaced.

What had I done? A plenty of grave mistakes.

  • Grave mistake #1: Drinking water around Mac
  • Grave mistake #2: Leaving the water unfinished in desk
  • Grave mistake #3: Not shutting down immediately
  • Grave mistake #4: Trying to get the password work
  • Grave mistake #5: Checking to see if it would work
  • Grave mistake #6: Turning it on again in the morning

Unless you have personally experienced being the one to damage MacBook, you don’t fully understand all this. Anyway if that unpleasant day stalks on you suddenly be sure to follow these steps within like the first ten seconds:

  • Unplug!!
  • Turn Off!!
  • Flip Over Something soft!!
  •  Do Not Turn On – Not Until You’re Sure It’s Dry – And This Is Not The Very Next Day – No Not At All!!
  • Pray

(I was so surprised that no one blamed me for what I did. No, even my scampish little brother seemed to pity me.  I love my family so much because they trust on me – yes, even me.)

Macbook disaster

Macbook disasters – they don’t happen unless you incite them. Within this week, I will try to tell about my Macbook disaster story . O it is so horrendous even to remember… But I have solemnly promise myself never to hurt any MacBooks for the rest of my life.

If I could go back for a couple of months from today, one thing I would advise myself would be to check out the following link: Considerations for the long life of your Macbook Air. Handling and environmental care tips

May all the MacBooks that I touch be favoured with long life for ever and ever on.

Committed to the long life of Macs,

Nevertheless I am continually with thee

“So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.” Psalms 73:22-23

How easy it is for me to be ignorant, to be proud, impatient, to forget how holy and powerful my Maker is and act like a grouch. But doing this I am acting impudently in God’s sight. How arrogant I am not to realise my foolishness and to confess my restricted time, service, and honour to God! And how humbly this writer Asaph was able to described his meagreness!

Charles Spurgeon explained that the word beast is the same Hebrew word used by Job translated as behemoth. So Asaph, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, was liking his sinful nature to the most brutish, intractable, and stubborn of all beasts. Spurgeon exclaimed,

“I think no man can go much lower than this in humble confession. This is a description of human nature, and of the old man in the renewed saint which is not to be excelled” (Treasury Of David).

“So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.” While this verse reveals the depth of our brutishness, the next verse shows the depth of God’s grace and the faith of the speaker: “Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.”

However many times I have grieved him, he never goes away. My Saviour loves me so much that He would rather suffer in my heart than leave me alone with my deficiency. Though I lose my hold on Him, He shall not lose His hold on me. Surprising Grace! The boundless love that God has towards me calls for my devotion to Him. O my soul, stand in awe, and reflect on the unfathomable grace that saved thee!
